India Exposition Mart Ltd.
The India Expo Mart is a state of the art exposition center, encompassing over 2.5 million square feet of built up area. It is currently the largest and only one of its kind in India. The Expo center is aimed at providing an exclusive place for business to host exhibitions in an environment comparable with the best locations in the world.
The project has a cost of approximately Rs 700 Crores (~$175 million) spread over 62 acres of land. Apart from eight major exhibition halls of 4,000 sq. mt. each and approximately 800 permanent showrooms owned by exporters, there are banquet halls, seminar/conference rooms, a business centre, shopping area, logistics centre, banks, and foreign exchange centers.
Progress of the Project:
Phase – I: completed and inaugurated by the Honorable Prime Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh, on 6th January 2006.
Phase –II: completed.
Phase –III: Has also been awarded to Fairwood. This phase would include 300 hotel rooms, further expansion of the mart building and Multi-Level parking with a capacity for 3,000 cars.
